What We Believe

We believe in one God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Creator of all things.  John 1:1, 2 Corinthians 3:17 & 18, Colossians 1:15-17.

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the first begotten Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, was true God and true man, was crucified, died, was buried, was resurrected, ascended into heaven, and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father.  Matthew 1:20 & 21, 1 Corinthians 15:3-8, Ephesians 1:20,21.

We believe the Bible in its entirety to be the inspired Word of God and the infallible rule of faith and conduct. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction (and) for instruction in righteousness.  2 Timothy 3:16,  Hebrews 4:12, 1 Thessalonians 2:13, 2 Peter 1:21.

We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the eternal salvation of the saved, and the eternal punishment of the lost.  We believe that whosoever believes in Jesus, makes Jesus the Lord of their life, will not perish, but will have eternal life. We believe that the devil is a real spiritual being who will be judged with his angels to the lake of fire. John 3:16, Romans 10:9 & 10,  Matthew 25:14, Revelation 20:10-15.

We believe in personal salvation of believers through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.  We believe that if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. Hebrews 9:12 & 14;  Romans 10:9 & 10;

We believe in sanctification (to be purified, consecrated, separated unto God) through the Word of God and by the Holy Spirit, and we believe in personal holiness, purity of heart and life.  John 17:17, Hebrews 12:14, 1 Thessalonians 5:23,  1 Peter 1:15 & 16, 2 Corinthians 3:18, John 15:3.

We believe God’s will is for every person to be made whole and complete in Christ. God’s will is for every person to be rescued and delivered from every oppression of the devil.  The purpose that Jesus was manifested was to destroy the works of the devil.  We believe that the Redemption Jesus purchased for us on the cross includes healing and deliverance from every oppression of the devil.  Acts 9:34, Matthew 9:22, Mark 6:56, Romans 5:1, Acts 10: 38  1 John 3:8, Isaiah 53:4 & 5, Mark 16:15-18, Matthew 8:16 & 17, 1 Peter 2:24.

We believe in water baptism, in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, in speaking with tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance (Acts 2:4), in the gifts of the Spirit, and the evidence of the fruit of the Spirit.  We believe all of these are available to believers.  Matthew 3:11, John 14:16 & 17, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:38 & 39, Acts 19:1-7, Galatians 5:22-25.

We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, the fullness of Him, that fills all in all.  Jesus Christ is the Lord and Head of the Church. Through the new birth, we are by the one Spirit baptized into one body, the Church. God sets the members, every one of them, in the body of Christ. Every member is gifted by the Holy Spirit for the edifying of the church and for the work of the ministry doing the good works which God prepared before that we should walk in them. Ephesians 1:22 & 23, Ephesians 4:12, Colossians 2:19, 1 Corinthians 12:13, Hebrews 10:25.

We believe in the Christian’s hope – the soon – coming, return of the Lord Jesus Christ.  His coming is imminent. The angels said to Jesus’ disciples, “this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen Him go into heaven.”  We know that when He shall appear we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. Everyone who has this hope purifies himself, even as He is pure. Acts 1:11,  Matthew 24:27 & 30,  1 Thessalonians 4:16 & 17, 1 John 3:2 & 3.
