Pastor Walter and Karen Enns

Welcome to Heritage of Faith. You matter to God. We matter to God. God is all about loving people and lifting people up to live and to walk in the highest place in Him. That is a place of peace, love, joy and victory.

Our desire is for people to know and experience God’s love for them and to reach their full potential in Christ. That’s a place of flourishing and winning in life.

Church is people not a building. God wants us planted in a church family where we can grow, serve, and really make an impact on others that will be for eternity.

Welcome home to faith, to family, and to God.

Salvation

“Who do you say that Jesus is?” This is the most important question in life for us to answer. Jesus Christ is everything we need Him to be but He will only be for us who we say He is. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to this world that we may have real and eternal life, more and better life than we ever dreamed of. In Jesus Christ we also discover our purpose in life. God has a great plan for our lives in Christ Jesus that he prepared before the foundation of the world, a good life which he made ready for us to live  (Ephesians 2:10 AMPLIFIED).

The Bible says in John 3:16 & 17, “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.”

How do we experience salvation and receive eternal life?

God has a gift for every person to receive. It is the gift of salvation that Jesus purchased for us with his own blood. The Bible says that our sins are already forgiven (2 Corinthians 5:19). God is not holding anything against us. Our part is to receive the gift of salvation. Our sins won’t keep us from having a life-changing relationship with God and having the assurance of going to heaven. It is the decision to not receive the gift of forgiveness and salvation that God is offering to everyone. God loves you and God has done everything He can for you to experience life instead of death.

The Bible says that if we believe in our heart that God raised Jesus from the dead and if we confess that Jesus is Lord, we shall be saved (Romans 10:9). At this point we are born again from spiritual death to spiritual life. We receive a new nature with all of the DNA of God in it. The Bible says we become new creatures in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:17). This is a work God’s Word and God’s Spirit does in us. We receive God’s peace and joy.

You can pray this prayer and experience salvation, “Dear God, I believe in my heart that you raised Jesus from the dead and I confess with my mouth that Jesus is my Lord. Thank you for saving me. Thank you for giving me new life in Jesus Christ.”

If you prayed this prayer, please let us know. We invite you to discover with us everything Jesus wants to be in our lives, so we can experience the abundant life He came to give us.

Water Baptism

Water baptism will forever mark you to live a brand new life in Christ, free from the power of sin and death. It is a very powerful experience that testifies of your death to sin and your resurrection to a new life in Christ.

Learn More

Water Baptism

The Bible says that water baptism is the answer of a good conscience toward God by the resurrection of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 3:21). Water baptism does not save you. It demonstrates what you believe to be yours through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Having made Jesus the Lord of our lives, water baptism is our answer to God, that by the resurrection of Jesus Christ we have been declared righteous or right with God (Romans 4:25). Water baptism signifies that we died to sin and that we were resurrected to a brand new life in Christ (Romans 6:4).

Water baptism is by confession of faith, simply declaring that we have made Jesus the Lord of our life.

The experience of water baptism marks us for life. It is point of reference for us, as a reminder, that sin no longer has control over us. We are dead to sin and we are now free to do those things that are right and pleasing to God.

If you would like to be water baptized, please leave your name and contact information at the bookstore after the Sunday morning service.

Baptism of The Holy Spirit

Do you have a hunger to experience more in your relationship with God? Do you want to unlock your potential in Christ? Do you want to experience God’s miracle-working power working in your life?

Baptism of The Holy Spirit

Jesus said to born again believers in Acts 1:5 “…you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.” In Acts 1:8 Jesus describes the baptism with the Holy Spirit when he said, “…But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you.” In Acts 2:4 we have the initial account of believers experiencing the baptism with the Holy Spirit. “And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages (KJV “tongues”) as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.”

The baptism with the Holy Spirit is a separate experience from salvation. When we are born again the Holy Spirit comes to live in us. In Titus 3:5 it says that when God saved us, “…He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.” This is the work of the Holy Spirit for our new birth in Christ.

The baptism with the Holy Spirit is when the Holy Spirit comes upon us and we receive power to be witnesses for Jesus. Judges 6:4 in the Amplified translation is a great way of understanding the baptism with the Holy Spirit; “But the Spirit of the Lord clothed Gideon with himself and took possession of him…” The baptism with the Holy Spirit is the experience of being completely immersed in, or clothed with, the Holy Spirit. The power we receive when we are baptized with the Holy Spirit is the ability of God for us to do the works that Jesus did and even greater works (John 14:12).

The baptism with the Holy Spirit will also cause God’s Word to come alive to you. The Holy Spirit will reveal God’s Word to you in a personal and life-changing way. This experience with the Holy Spirit will unlock your potential in Christ.

One of the initial evidences of the baptism with the Holy Spirit is the ability to speak in other tongues (Acts 2:4; 10:44-46; 19:1-6). The apostle Paul himself was baptized with the Holy Spirit after he got born again on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:1-6). Later, in Acts 9:17, we read about Paul being filled, or baptized, with the Holy Spirit. In 1 Corinthians 14:18, Paul makes this statement, “I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than you all.

How to receive the baptism with the Holy Spirit

We receive the baptism with the Holy Spirit by asking for it. Simply say this, “Lord Jesus I’m asking you to baptize me now with the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord. I believe I receive the baptism with the Holy Spirit and I fully expect to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gives me utterance. In Jesus’ name, amen!”

Begin to praise God for filling you with the Holy Spirit. Speak those words and syllables you receive – not in your own language, but the language given to you by the Holy Spirit. You have to use your own voice. God will not force you to speak. Don’t be concerned with how it sounds. It is a heavenly language!

Partnership

God has a place for you in the church where you will thrive and flourish. It’s a place where you can serve others in love and experience the strength of partnership.

Learn More

Partnership

God sets believers in the body of Christ as members (1 Corinthians 12:18). Partnership is a decision we make prayerfully to be joined in love and faith with a company of believers (church). Partnership is expressed in partners making a supply for the whole body of Christ (the church) to increase and be edified in love (Ephesians 4:16).

Power in Partnership

  • Partnership is a very powerful force. Partnership is about doing together what none of us can do alone. Together through partnership we are reaching more people with the gospel of Christ and having the greatest influence in the world.
  • Partnership is the parts making their supply for the whole body of Christ to grow in love. Ephesians 4:16. From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Benefits of Partnership

  • You share in the reward for every person whose life is changed by the gospel of Christ through this ministry (1 Samuel 30:23-25)
  • You are prayed for regularly
  • You are positioned to flourish in life (Psalm 92:13)
  • You have opportunities to serve and to be a blessing to others (Ephesians 4:16)
  • You are doing together with others what none of us can do alone
  • Together in partnership we are the fullness of Him that fills all in all (Ephesians 1:23)

A Decision of the Heart

Partnership with HFCC is a decision we make in our heart:

  • To walk in unity with the church,
  • To walk in love,
  • To pray for the church,
  • To give tithes and offerings,
  • To serve in ministry,
  • To walk in holiness, living separated from the world and separated to God.

Discipleship

Do you want to fulfill what God has called you to be and to do? Do you want your life to be productive for God and well-pleasing to Him?

Discipleship

A disciple is a follower of Jesus Christ who is taught, trained and nurtured in the Word of faith to the level where he or she can, in turn, make disciples—who are then taught, trained and nurtured in the Word of faith to the level where they too, can make disciples, and so on.

The purpose of discipleship is to be equipped to be a doer of the Word of God. Through the experience of discipleship we mature as Christians and become skillful in how to use the Word of God in every area of life. (Hebrews 5:12-14). God’s plan for us is to win in life. God’s plan is for our lives to make the God we serve attractive to others. Discipleship is integral for us to grow and to make a difference in the lives of others. Through discipleship we increase our ability to influence and impact the lives of others in life changing ways.

Opportunities to be Learn and Grow in God’s Word

Every Sunday is an opportunity to be equipped with the Word of God by the hearing and doing of God’s Word preached. The Bible says faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17). The more Word of God we hear and do the more we will grow in our faith. The more Word of God we hear and do the more fruit our lives will bear to the glory of God.

The Jerry Savelle Ministries One Year Bible School is being offered (beginning fall 2017) as a church Bible School. This is a great resource for discipleship in the Word of God.
